It is with a saddened heart that we report that we will be closing the Good Old Days in a couple months. We have made many friends and relationships with all of our customers and we are so glad we had the opportunity to serve our community in this way for the past 16 years.
We have been thinking of retiring for a while now but this last winter made us realize how much we really want to retire and move on with the next phase of our lives. We are certainly going to miss you, our devoted and steadfast customers who have supported us all these years. You have made the Good Old Days what it is today. Many of you have told us and have written in our comments book that this shop is unlike any other in the Country, and that it is your favorite shop to come to. It is comments like this that have kept us going all these years. It has truly been a great journey. We both learned so much, not only about the trade and business, but also about people.

In order to make our retirement a success, we are holding a HUGE RETIREMENT SALE. The sale begins at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 23rd. Our goals are to sell everything in the shop, including the shop itself, by the middle of May. We are calling on you, our devoted customers, to help make that happen. We will be offering everything at greatly reduced prices, up to half off on many. We are currently re-pricing every single item in the shop with discounted prices. You know we have always been striven to find those unique, hard to find items for the shop. This will be your last opportunity to purchase these items. We have pulled out all the stops and have loaded the shop with everything we had in storage. This includes architectural pieces, restaurant equipment, project pieces, antiques in the rough, plus all of our current inventory.

Another part of this Retirement Sale is all the great PRIZES we will be giving away. We have purchased around $2000 worth of prizes we think you would love to have. So we will be running a prize contest for you to enter in order to win one of these prizes. Just stop by the prize desk with your receipt on the way out and get your points awarded towards the free prize you might win. I will post more about this in another post along with pictures so subscribe to my blog to get notified when the next post arrives.

We are both sad and happy at the same time about the shop closing. It has been the major part of our life for 16 years. There is a time for everybody to retire and this is our time. Please join us in our Retirement sale and help to say farewell.
